This document discusses in detail a re-validation assessment done by DMRC in July-August 2014 in few of its existing tunnel sections to ensure the suitability of Tunnel ventilation system to operate two trains in one ventilation zone. Originally, the system was designed with one train in one ventilation zone but due to increased ridership it was envisaged to run trains with lesser headway. The sole intent of this paper is to report the data from this experiment to Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) fraternity for their better understanding and revalidating their existing Tunnel ventilation System with changing requirement.
