Occam’s inversion method is widely used in the magnetotelluric(MT) inversion for its stability and low requirements on the initial conditions. But the resolution of Occam’s inversion for the high resistance layer is low. Heating-bath simulated annealing (HBSA) inversion, one of the global inverse method independent of the initial model, can find the global optimal solution while costing lots of time. In this paper, HBSA method and Occam’s method are combined to inverse MT parameters.
