Organic aerosols are one of important air pollutants and great efforts have been made to specify, quantify, and understand the sources and reactivity. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), particularly, have been paid much attention to as potential health hazards (Simoneit et al., 2015). PAHs are able to interact with DNA and are, therefore, genotoxic, causing malignancies and heritable genetic damage in humans (Barrado et al., 2012).
