Dominion 585 MW Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center Project Summary and Update

The 585MW Dominion Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center utilizes two Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Boilers to provide steam to a single 585 MW Steam Turbine Generator for power generation in the Southwestern area of Virginia. The new clean coal power plant includes one of the largest Air Cooled Condenser systems in the industry along with several unique features utilizing waste heat streams from the facility to improve plant performance. The facility includes an air quality control system with a dry scrubber, baghouse and an activated carbon injection system.
