Currently, the few existing schemes that can reduce space-frequency block code (SFBC) MIMO-OFDM system peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) have much calculation complication and redundancy. To improve this situation, we propose a new optimized sequence combination (OSC) scheme in this paper. In OSC scheme, signals are SFBC encoded in the time domain. On the condition of stable SFBC coding structure, the signals are combined optimally and thus effectively reduce the system PAPR. The OSC scheme not only strengthens the stability of side information transmission but also reduces the amount of side information, because optional sequence is known in this algorithm and only the optimal sequence number is transmitted. Theoretical analysis and simulation results prove that the OSC scheme proposed in this paper can reduce both the system PAPR and the amount of side information transmission.
