摘要

The design of a tubular electrochemical reactor is attractive for electrochemical process because of its flexibility to scale-up and space saving. In this paper, the effect of sudden expansion entrance on the rate of mass transfer in a tubular electrochemical reactor with parallel electrodes is studied. Overall mass transfer coefficients were measured using the limiting current method in different expansion ratios, and the equation of y=(s/S)~(-0.188) is the experiential correlation of mass transfer enhancement factor.
