As a smnmaty and an attempt to begin to tie together a series of somewhat independent issues, some observations are made. Generally, noise predictions tend to lx conservative. except for noise source data, which may either be conservative or unconservative. The methods suggested above will usually both increase the accuracy of noise predictions and reduce conservatism and costs of noise contmls needed to meet noise criteria. The game is to refine modeling methodology and simultaneously increase its accuracy (near-field and community) - to rite extent needed and compatible with the engineering budget and schedule available.
