摘要

Utility demand for energy storage could reach over 4 GWH by 2025. There is a potential match between supply and demand between utility needs and 2nd life batteries from automotive. Standardization of automotive battery pack systems is one significant method to reduce repurposing costs to acceptable levels. Standardization can also simplify the supply of battery parts offering 3%-15% reduction in pack costs for primary life (vehicle) applications.
