An optimization potential for micro hybrid vehicles regarding recuperation and fuel economy can be described. Conventional PbA batteries limit this due to their dynamic charge acceptance. A parallel operated Lithium Ion battery can solve this dilemma with a good cost benefit ratio. This technology is promising for vehicle implementation. The supply base is requested to develop a reliable and robust product.
