Process oriented configuration of mining suspended monorails assemblies

Configurability of technical systems, which are used in the mining industry, is their characteristic feature. Some of technical means are many times rearranged after their delivery to the mine by manufacturers due to the present needs of mining processes. These are the configurations of different complexity; the complex technical systems (e.g. longwall systems) as well as technical means, which consist of modular assemblies. The last case refers to suspended monorails, which are configured of drive units, braking systems and modular lifting beams. The configurations of transportation systems condition the planning of processes in a mine. When planning the transportation system based on suspended monorails, availability of assemblies, which are planned to be used in transportation systems, is also considered as the element of management of production means. Management of production means is supported by the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Relationships between configurations of monorail assemblies and ERP system are discussed.
