Callus induction and regeneration in seed culture of Taraxacum kok-saghyz Rodin

Taraxacum kok-saghyz Rodin (TKS) a native species in Kazakhstan has been used as a natural rubber sourse (Minbaev 1940). But excessive exploitation in the past for the production of rubber and slow growth, poor seed germination ability made this plantendangered ( Red Date Book of Kazakh SSR 1981, Kirschner et al 2012). Microclonal propagation method would be the promising option for rapid propagation, multiplication and preservation of TKS (Lin et al 2009).
