Species traits associated with invasiveness has been the central theme in invasion ecology since biological invasion started to be intensively studied in 1980s (Richardson era/ 2008). After30 years of research a number of traits were associated with invasive behaviour and seed traits are supposed to play a crucial role among these determining the species invasiveness (Py§ek et al 2007). Using the data collected specifically for this purpose, we have tested the role of seed traits and other biological traits of alien plant species, and asked, what are the factors that determine whether a species becomes invasive or does not become invasive and remains in naturalization stage.
