Many studies have investigated seed germination, dormancy, and dormancy breaking method and mechanism in Leymus chinensis. Light showed an inhibitory effect on seed germination and gibberellins showed positive, no effect or even negative effect on seed germination. However, there was no research exploring the interaction effect of light and GA4 on L. chinensis seed germination. This study aimed to determine the effect of light, gibberellins and their interaction on L. chinensis seed germination in response to water stress by application of the hydro-time model.
