Regional development performance - a focus on the innovation processes

摘要

The purpose of this paper is to focus on processes of innovations. The processes of innovation are seen as a vehicle for developmental performances on different levels, such as regional, national or transnational. The argument is that innovation can be considered both social and collaborative achievement. Nevertheless, factors that influence particular social environments to become a trigger to innovations to emerge and contribute to the existence of an innovative society are at forefront. Moreover, the factors considered to be important in encouraging innovations within strategic action fields imply on different types of social, cultural and economic resources, which point toward the ability of innovation performance.
