A Journey to Conquer CAPP Complexity

摘要

Studies show that CAPP (Computer Aided Process Planning) faces important shortcomings. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the relationships between CAPP complex problems and its directly related disciplines that, by their consideration, could lead to better CAPP systems. Based on the paper's qualitative findings supported by authorities, evidence, or logic, essentially, it is argued that the approach that considers and incorporates these relationships will result in improved CAPP systems. This also leads to the need for a multi-perspective research approach for solving CAPP complex problems.
