Study of Resourses, Ecological and Environmental Problems and the Corresponding Countermeasures of Villages in Cities in Guilin

"Villages inside cities" is a particular phenomenon caused by the dual structure of urban-rural, and poor planning which occurs in the process of the rapid urbanization. This paper introduces the distribution of villages inside cities in Guilin, causes, the resources, ecological and environmental problems which living environment faced to, and the recommendations and measures of the village inside cities in Guilin, hoping there will have some reference to the transformation in the future. Since 1980s, along with the continuous advancement of Chinese reform and openness and rapid development of urbanization, the urban fringe zones in many cities are varying some "villages inside cities" on some degree, meanwhile, it brings a range of environmental and social issues such as resources, ecological and many other aspects, which restricts the sustainable development seriously. Guilin is a historical and cultural city and a tourist city. Although the city expands slowly, out of protecting the area, attractions and the natural landscape, it retains a large number of original villages and rural farmland in the east coast of Li River, Qingxing Park and the surrounding of Chuanshan Park. However, with the rapid progress of urbanization and the construction of ring road, these areas have been incorporated into the city territory, thus there forms a number of "villages inside cities", and many problems occurs correspondingly, according to these, many aspects of such problems are discussed.
