CARACTERIZAQAO DE ITABIRITOS COMPACTOS DA MiNA DE ALEGRIA - SAMARCO MINERAQAO (PARTE 1)

At Samarco Mineracao S.A., on its industrial unit located in Mariana and Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil, has developed studies for the processing of compacts itabirites, being these materials classified due the high percentage mass retained in the mesh 3/8" (9,53mm). After a data base analise, 2 (two) typologies of ferriferous formations, until then waste, were selected: compact specular and compact non-specular, being the mass of these materials by, nearly, 120 millions of tons (data from 2010).
