摘要

Male Bengalese finches sing complex sequences in their courtship songs. They learn own songs during a developmental period by using auditory feedback. Auditory feedback is an essential ability for human languages therefore songbirds are an excellent model for understanding neural mechanisms of auditory/motor processing. During the learning period, birds compare own vocalization with the remembered auditory template. Bengalese finches have to memorize their song template by phonological information and sequential information. They would teach us how auditory areas process the two aspects of the songs and how the motor processing refers the auditory information.
