Pseudo Helix-sense-selective Polymerization of Achiral Substituted Acetylenes

[Introduction] Asymmetric polymerization is a polymerization for synthesizing a chiral polymer having newly produced chiral structures from an aehiral monomer.We reported helix-sense-selective polymerization (HSSP) producing one-handed helical conjugated polymers from an achiral monomer (DoDHPA,Chart 1) with two hydroxyl groups by using a chiral catalytic system consisting of a rhodium complex and a chiral amine.1 However,suitable monomers were limited and efficiency of the chiral induction was not high.
