An Innovative Marketing Strategy for North China's Rural Tourism in Winter

Due to its initial stage, rural tourism of North China in winter has been plagued by many problems. Without overall outlook of rural-tourism marketing strategy, products and services, lacking of market segmentations, are similar with each other. Businesses with poor marketing concept, can't explore more marketing channels, only to work out simple promoting methods. Therefore, most of rural operators attract too few tourists to carry on business from November to next April. The innovative marketing strategy proposed by the author will spark a key role played by government in outlining strategic ruraltourism plans for North China, and improving rural area's infrastructure. Operators are suggested to pay more attention to making market segmentations based on different markets and products, while excellent marketing channels should also be explored. Prices should be set with the concern of sustainable manner in long term, and promotions should also be carried out seriously.
