Recent advances in computing speed and softwarecall for a better practical approach to subsurface-surface network modelling. Looking at it from theangle of Integrated Asset management, whichrequires the subsurface and surface teams to workas one in providing input and solution to fielddevelopment plan challenges, this comes as animportant tool in long term planning of a project.With this approach, team members from variousdisciplines, will be able to work directly withothers, sharing ideas and making real timedecisions on a regular basis.The case study in this paper shows how suchintegration resulted in time and cost savings whengood and quick decisions are made on a project.this shows a clear departure from the traditionalsubsurface/surface engineering relation in fielddevelopment studies, where the subsurfacereservoir simulation work is done independent ofsurface considerations. This paper highlights thebenefits of the new approach to the project.
