A semifragile watermarking method based on SVD in the wavelet domain for image tamper detection and localization is proposed. In the method, the original stereo image is decomposed into four sub bands using Discrete Wavelet Transforms and we apply SVD to each sub band, the watermark is embedded by modifying the singular values. At the receiver side, a binary error map which is constructed, the similarity between the extracted and embedded watermark and the cluster of diverse pixels are computed, and the tamper regions are detected and localized precisely with the disparity and error map. Experimental results show that the watermarked image has satisfactory visual quality, the proposed method watermark is robust against mild attacks such as JPEG compression, Gaussian low-pass filtering, salt and peppers noise addition and median filtering and fragile to the malicious attacks.
