Under the background of China's cultural prosperity, this paper discusses the methods for the regenerative protection of historic conservation areas. Such areas can be regenerated by following the pattern of "preserving historical and cultural elements - reshaping historical and cultural venation - injecting modern commercial functions" and on the basis of controlling the style, color and height of buildings.
