Advanced ZigBee Routing Strategy of Offshore Wind Monitoring System

With wind power technology become more mature, offshore wind power generation system development obtains more attention. However, compared to onshore wind energy, offshore wind suffers harsher environment, and its maintenance become more difficult. Therefore,improves the performance of monitoring system of offshore wind power is essential to reduce operating and maintenance costs. This paper designs offshore wind monitoring system based on ZigBee wireless sensor networks aiming to develop more raliable monitoring system. Meanwhile, this study proposed a smart ZigBee routing strategy IZCT algorithm. OPNET simulator was used to simulate the topological features and performance of ZigBee networks. The test result indicates that IZCT algorithm can optimize the routing path of the wireless sensor networks and improve the reliable of the network communication.
