Three precipitation systems accompanied by Changma front caused rainfall amounts of 17.7, 35.8, and 138.4 mm, respectively, at Chujado. The durations of each case were 6, 7, and 21 hours. The characteristics of each system were as follows:In case 1, the precipitation system that formed along the Changma front was band shaped and moved to the northeast. The equivalent potential temperature around Chujado was higher than 345 K. The maximum wind speed of 20 m s~(?1) was around 300 m in height and wind direction veered from southerly to westerly from the surface to 1 km height. While the precipitation system was passing through the analysis area, the air at all of layers was humid and the maximum wind speed was stronger than 25 m s~(?1) around 5 km in height. The echo top of 30 dBZ reaches to nearly 6 km and the updraft and downdraft are less than 4 m s~(?1). The westerly and southwesterly of around 15 m s~? are dominated below and above 2 km, respectively.In case 2, the equivalent potential temperature was 345 K at the southern part of Korea. Before the precipitation system passed through Chujado, the wind had increased with height backing from northerly to westerly and the wind speed increased up to 30 m s~(?1) at a height of 4 km. While the precipitation system was passing the analysis area, a strong jet with 20 ~ 30 m s~(?1) was formed at 2 ~ 6 km veering with height from southerly to westerly. The maximum updraft and downdraft were around 6 m s~(?1) and appeared between 40 and 60 km in range. The echo top of 30 dBZ was located at 6 km in height and the strong southwesterly stronger than 30 m s~(?1) flowed into Chujado area below 3 km.In case 3, the equivalent potential temperature of 345 K was elongated to Jeju Island. Before the precipitation, wind direction suddenly changed under 2 km height and a strong jet over 25 m s~(?1) was formed at 3 ~ 4 km. The wind veered with height from easterly to westerly under 2 km height, and a strong wind over 20 m s~(?1) appeared at mid-level around 4 km height. There were two storm cells around Chujado area. The strong updraft of 14 m s~(?1) occurred in one storm cell has a 30 dBZ echo top height up to around 9 km and the echo top in the other cell was around 5 km. The strong southwesterly of 30 m s~(?1) flowed at the southwestern part of Chujado, a weaker westerly less than 15 m s~(?1) dominated around Chujado, and a very weak wind occurred at the region of strong updraft.
