This paper discusses the way in which the ASCE's Body of Knowledge, version 2, (BOK2) might be implemented at North Carolina State in its civil engineering curriculum, as perceived by the department head. More specifically, it examines the BOK2 outcomes that relate to the baccalaureate degree, since the plan for achieving the BOK2 outcomes includes post-baccalaureate coursework and pre-licensure experience. Special emphasis is placed on the BOK2 outcomes that were identified as being challenges for many programs in a survey recently conducted by the ASCE's Body of Knowledge Educational Fulfillment Committee.
