It is developed a mathematical model of crown forest fire spread taking account firebreaks (roads, glades and etc.) - the obstacles for fire propagation in the forests. This model is based on the general mathematical model of forest fires. The objective of this paper is to simulate the conditions of crown forest fires propagation at these conditions. The distributions of the main functions in the forest canopy (temperature, concentration of gas phase components, the volume fractions of condensed phase etc.) have been obtained numerically at different times. Using these results the behavior of crown forest fires in the presence of obstacles of finite size was described. In this study, we focused our efforts to identify how crown fire interacts with firebreak and to detect conditions when it doesn't overcome this obstacle.
