UPDATE FOR ELITE JAPONIC A VARIETY

A new concept called Variety Update for rice molecular breeding was introduced We updated four traits of japonica elite variety Koshihikari and bred four new varieties of Koshihikari in this work. The idea of Variety Update was from computer softwareand digital informatics. To improve on less desirable traits of elite variety only through replacing a small chromosomal fragment, was our concept.
