Import Competition, Factor Reallocation and Productivity

摘要

Import trade can influence total factors productivity (TFP) of importers through competition effect. However, most of mainstream researches do not analysis the means which import competition influences TFP. The paper argue that import competition induced the positive factor reallocation intra and negative inter industry process through using monthly panel data of 3-digit industry branch,. Therefore, the government should guide the import competition to norm, orderly and mutually-beneficial direction on one hand; encourage rational factor reallocation on the other hand.
