Some Aspects concerning the Equality of Income Distribution in Romania and in Some Developed Countries, at the End of the Second Millennium

The paper presents the methodology of measuring the equality of income distribution; using the Gini coefficients for Romania in the transition period to a market economy, it can be noticed a relative equality of income distribution. The Romanian case is presented in the context of the Central and Eastern Europe countries and developed world countries as United States of America and Germany. The economic and social polarization may have serious consequences over the people welfare.
