The knowledge of the mycota from soil, can lead to discover new molecules produced by microorganisms using metabolic processes considering the ecological and environmental interactions, and biotechnological applications. Nowadays many tests are used to select microorganisms which produce biosurfactants. In addition, research was employed to identify the biotechnological potential of the strains to produce bioactive substances. The aim of the present work was to characterize Aspergillus niger isolated strains from Caatinga soil of Pernambuco, Brazil with potential of biosurfactant production. Strains of filamentous fungi were isolated and 21 was identified as A. niger, and characterized by radial growth at different levels of pH, salinity and temperature, and hemolysis test was used to indicate biosurfactant production. The best condition of biosurfactant production by hemolysis test was characterized by molecular process.
