In this research, sputtered niobium metal on FTO glass was used as an initial material. Fabrication of nanoporous network Nb_2O_5 has been conducted via anodization technique and tested as a photoanode in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). The nanoporous network Nb_2O_5 with N3 dye has successfully demonstrated 1.3 to 3.5% efficiency based on ~ 3.5 and 5.0 μm thicknesses. The high performance of the nanoporous network Nb_2O_5 is expected due to long electron life time as observed from the voltage decay measurement.
