摘要

Fundamental understanding of the phenomena that controls the deposition and transport of aqueous dispersions polymer-modified nanoscale zero-valent Iron (NZVI) at high concentration (~5 g/L) is needed for efficient in situ emplacement of NZVI in the contaminant source zone. The objectives of this research are (1) to determine the effect of particle concentration on the deposition of surface-modified NZVI, (2) to better understand effect of particle size distribution on transport of polyelectrolyte-modified NZVI and (3) to evaluate the importance of magnetic attractive forces on polyelectrolyte-modified NZVI deposition.
