The solution to the given scientific-technical problem is the creation of ecologically safe power plants (EcoPPs) with the removal of carbon dioxide emissions, which are dangerous for the Earth’s climate and a sharp reduction in nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides in flue gases. Of further benefit is the use of the by-products of the Angren brown coal (which contains 15% iron) carbon dioxide in the flue gases, strong hydrophobic silicates and ferroalloys in furnaces with liquid slag removal. As a solution to this problem we have investigated and developed systems and schemes employing gravitational separators of the liquid ash-slag wastes, coal-dust preparation and submission to a vertical prefurnace, submission of oxidant to the vertical prefurnace, drying of flue gases and derivation of liquid carbon dioxide. Investigations are ongoing.
