In froth flotation, feed characteristics such as particle size and grade and operating parameters such as air flow rate, collector dosage, pulp density and pulp PH play a vital role in determining the performance of the whole flotation process. Studying the effect of these parameters on the recovery and grade of flotation is the subject of extensive research throughout the world. In this study the effect of collector dosage, impeller speed/air flow rate and feed particle size on the performance of Jordanian phosphate froth flotation was investigated. A statistical correlation between these parameters and concentrate grade and recovery was developed. Then optimum operating conditions (collector dosage, impeller speed/air flow rate) was determined using statistical analysis such as ANOVA, RSM and MLR methods. The results will be used to optimize flotation process in Eshydia/Jordan phosphate flotation plant.
