Application of Kano's Model for Evaluating Information Quality of University Websites

摘要

Website is a software product used by different organizations for information exchange and marketing. University websites have not been yet fully studied in terms of user satisfaction and quality evaluation. This research applies Kano's two-factor theory, for studying information quality attribute "usefulness" of information available on local university websites. Information related to degree programs, registration, faculties, lab facilities and credit transfer were found to be very useful to the current students. Results of the study complied with Kano's two-factor theory of non-linear relationship between satisfaction increase due to desired information availability and dissatisfaction increase due to information unavailability.
