Infrastructural and protocol enhancements for Federated eCommerce

摘要

This paper proposes extensions to the current internet infrastructure and associated protocol to enable a high degree of eCommerce federation and transactional delegation and eventual consolidation maintaining a total backward compatibility to the current investments in infrastructure made by various organizations to conduct eBusiness over the internet. The paper also addresses the potential security threat that would inevitably result as computer-to-computer communication becomes more prevalent with federated eCommerce creating worldwide communities with transactional flows far outnumbering the B2C transactions of today, as agent driven commerce would eventually replace human-to-search-engine driven commerce of today.
