In the paper, the equation of state (EOS) for a mixture is derived based on the equations of state for components. A universal form of analytical dependence of elastic energy and pressure as function of the compression ratio is employed. The Mie-Grueneisen approximation is used for the thermal components. Equation-of-state parameters for mixtures are calculated in terms of equation-of-state parameters of pure components. The detonation parameters calculated based on the newly derived equation of state for detonation products of mixed HE were compared with experimental data. The comparison indicates a good agreement between theory and experiments. The equation of state can be used for the calculations of kinetic parameters of HE initiation, which require EOS for a mixture of unreacted HE and HE detonation products.
