Study on the Thermal Stability of Three Kinds of Pyrotechnics

The thermal stabilities of three kinds of pyrotechnics(KC10_3( KC1O_4,KNO_3)/ Sr(NO_3)_2/ Mg-Al/C_48H_42O_7) were studied by Accelerating Rate Calorimeter(ARC) in this paper. The relationships of thermal decomposition temperature and pressure versus time and the reaction rate versus temperature were obtained, the processes of thermal decomposition were discussed, and the apparent activation energy and pre-exponential factor were also calculated. The results showed that, the thermal stability of pyrotechnics (KCIO_3/ Sr(NO_3)_2/ Mg-At/C_48H_42O_7) is lowest among the three.
