SnOhvit LNG – Leading LNG Business into a Promising New Region

The frontier of the LNG World will be pushed further north as Linde - main engi- neering contractor together with their client Statoil - are building a first of its kind LNG plant in Norway's Finnmark area. This paper outlines how the specific requirements of a remote and arctic plant location have been accounted for in the engineering. The key features of the Snohvit LNG plant are briefly discussed and the main components of the Mixed Fluid Cascade (MFC~R) process are presented.
