摘要

The paper presents an internet/intranet based intelligent turning system using a lathe equipped with multi-sensor and an open-architecture CNC. This system has real-time machining state judgment capability, adaptive control capability by modifying the feed speed and the spindle speed, high precision cutting capability by compensating the machining error, high efficiency cutting capability by avoiding chatter vibration and remote monitoring and tele-operation function by using human machine interface through world wide web (WWW). The experimental results have showed the effectiveness of the system.
