A 3-D PLANNING SYSTEM FOR TUMOUR RADIATION TREATMENT

Radiation treatment 3-D planning system is an important application of computer visualization technology. The ordinary radiation treatment method cannot locate the position of tumour precisely, so it probably hurts the vitals easily and cannot predict the treatment result. A 3-D radiation treatment planning system can overcome these shortages, so the safety and efficiency are improved notably. The basic principle and structure of the 3-D planning system are introduced in this paper. The treatment planning software is described in detail including modules partition and their functions. In the end, some visualization methods are discussed.
