Despite tremendous research efforts have been made and new echnologies for cancer therapy have emerged for the last decades, cancer death rate has remained barely changed. The recent mprovement, if any, is primarily attributed to early diagnosis/detection and surgery. A few of major reasons for such poor outcomes of tumor chemotherapy may include tumor heterogeneity in physiology, cell ype, genomics, phenotype, etc. Multidrug resistance is another major cause of the failure of chemotherapy. The central focus of this esearch is to address these two issues in part.
