摘要

Chlorination is the most common method for disinfection of recreational water. Reactions between free chlorine and organic-N compounds that are common in recreational water settings (most of which originate in sweat and urine) can result in the formation of undesirable disinfection by-products (DBPs), including some that are sufficiently volatile to be transferred to the gas phase. For example, trihalomethanes have been reported to be formed by chlorination of the materials of human origin (hair, lotion, saliva, skin and urine) and by chlorination of human urine analogues containing urea, creatinine and citric acid.
