摘要

The maximum permissible concentration of a pesticide in drinking water set by European Union is 0.1 ng/mL. The guideline by the U.S. EPA depends on each pesticide (normally 0-70 ng/mL; especially, 3 and 70 ng/mL for atrazine and 2,4-D, respectively). Further, residual herbicides in agricultural products such as fruits and vegetables are of high concern in many countries. The classical analyzing techniques require extensive sample pretreatments and preparation as well as highly trained technical personnel. Therefore, the development of real time monitoring or quick analysis is required to minimize the risk on public health.
