Adhering to Principle of Human as Priority and Creating Favorable Human Settlement Environment

Quanzhou City is located in the southeastern coastal region of Fujian Province, looking to Taiwan with the sea between. It has under its jurisdiction of 4 districts, 3 cities, 5 counties (Jinmen not returned yet) and 1 Administration Committee. The city has a total population of 7.28 million and a total area of 11,015 square kilometers. Quanzhou is a famous historical city and well-known hometown of overseas Chinese in the country, and it is also the coast economic opening-up region and a national pilot city for comprehensive reform and for technological innovation works. In the process to make great efforts to develop economy and push ahead urbanization, Quanzhou City Committee of CPC and Quanzhou Municipal Government have always given priority in urban construction to create favorable human settlement environment and achieving sustainable development. For years, we experienced a series of exploration and practice, always adhering to the Principle of Human and Environment as Priorities. While accelerating urban construction, we made active efforts in protecting excellent human cultural heritages, exerted ourselves to improve working, living and business environment quality for citizens and implemented human settlement environment construction and sustainable social and economic development.
