Human Resource Management of Communist Youth League: A Perspective from Managing Youth Volunteers

This paper examines human resource management (HRM) issues in the Communist Youth League (CYL) activities sector and presents three particular HRM issues in managing youth volunteers: (a) recruitment and retention; (b) remuneration and rewards; and (c) the management of risk. It also suggests that by focusing more on increasing CYL organizational capacity generally, and particularly with regard to youth volunteers, they will also be able to "do more with less for longer."
