摘要

Olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) has become a commercially-important fish species in Korean hatcheries. There are many bacterial diseases threatening flounder mariculture production in Korea. Streptococcosis, caused by Streptococcus sp. infection in fish due to intensification of aquaculture, is causing significant economic losses in the flounder farms. Feeding trash fish is a traditional method of feeding cultured marine carnivorous fish especially in Korea. The possibility of trash fish food-direct pathogen infection to cultured flounder is a very important concern offish farmers in Korea (Kim et al, 2007).
