Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) was established in 1935 as a private company to exploit Jordan's phosphate deposits that cover nearly 60% of Jordan's area. JPMC is the largest corporate in the Kingdom of Jordan and is considered to be one of thecentral figures in the international phosphate industry. It is one of the world's leading phosphate exporters to more than 30 countries with over 60 years of operating experience. Thanks to the excellent geographical location, it is close to the large Southeast Asian market as well as to the advantageous competitive chemical characteristics of JPMC's rock, which has low levels of heavy metals.
