Results from the HERMES experiment are presented on target-related single-spin azimuthal asymmetries for exclusively produced π~+ and ρ~0 mesons in deep-inelastic scattering of 27.5 GeV positrons off a longitudinally polarized hydrogen and deuterium target, respectively. The azimuthal asymmetries are studied as a function of the relevant kinematic variables. The magnitude of the π~+ asymmetry is found to grow with decreasing Bjorken-x and increasing -t (where t is the squared four-momentum transferred to the nucleon), while the ρ~0 asymmetry is found to be consistent with zero.
